Our work
PROGRESS
This design is the fourth prototype of our wireless charging pad, the Affinity, and our intentions were to make it slim and simple.

We believe our product would work outstandingly well in offices, coffee shops, restaurants and households.
​
Wireless charging technology has been around for almost a decade now but has not been widely used because of its lack of efficiency. Over time wireless charging is evolving and becoming better and better. At Flux we believe wireless charging is the future.
​
As a team we hope to sell our product worldwide at £21.99 for the Affinity and £2.99 for the receiver. As we are a small student company still in development all of our money comes through donations, fundraising events and preorders.
​
We hope to have our product on the shelves by May 2018, this will boost our companies profits, enabling us to innovate with new ideas and designs. Receiver
Our simple-to-attach receiver allows users with IPhones 5 to 7+ to use our product. Android users will also be able to purchase our receiver at a later date of release (around July).
Quite a few modern devices now have wireless charging capabilities built in they also will work with our product without the need for our receiver.

Through market research we found that only 9% of people we surveyed have IPhone's 8, 8 Plus and X. Comparing this to the percentage of people who own IPhone's 5 to 7 which is 59% and Samsung devices coming in at around 13%, this left 24% of people who own other devices.
​
This made our target audience huge. 80% of people with phones are able to use our product, we are hoping to make wireless charging known as well as being able to bring wireless charging into every home!
ABOUT US
About Us
We are a team of six keen and intelligent students taking part in the Junior Achievement Company Programme Isle of Man.

We hope to gain experience through all the trials this programme throws at us and help each other to overcome these problems and setbacks to grow in business experience.
​
The goal we have in mind is to make wireless portable chargers that are compatible with Apple IPhone's 5 through to X. We also want to develop devices supported on android phones to enable wireless charging and work new technologies such as resonance charging.
​
We know this project is going to be a hard task but we are willing to take the challenge and work to produce an affordable, high quality and stunning product that stands out from the crowd.
